Meet Dr. Manish Lamichane

Manish Lamichane, DDS, MMSc

Meeting and interacting with people across a wide spectrum of ages, with varied backgrounds, on a daily basis is fantastic. To then gain their trust and add value to their lives is the highest privilege.

Prior to becoming an orthodontist, I received the following educational certificates and honors:

  • Bachelor of Science in Honours Actuarial Science, University of Western Ontario.
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery, University of Toronto.
  • Omicron Kappa Upsilon - Dental honor society
  • General Practice Residency, Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
  • Masters of Medical Science in Orthodontics, Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

Continuing Education

Dr. Howard and I attend many continuing education lectures across the country, each year, to stay on top of advances in the field of orthodontics. In addition, we encourage the entire LOA team to attend lectures and seminars to further our mission to remain at the top of our profession.  We love the challenge of finding opportunities to deliver exceptional patient care.

As a part of my ongoing continuing education, I attend the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session, the Suresmile Annual Session and the American Cleft Palate Association Annual Session.  I am also active in an international research collaboration called Americleft, serve on the faculty of Orametrix teaching digital and lingual orthodontics, and am an adjunct professor at Hershey Medical School.

In the Practice

I have been practicing dentistry since 1999, and I truly enjoy my work to the point it often does not feel like work!  It is great that our patients and their families respect themselves enough to seek an improvement in their oral health, function and self-esteem. These parallel values propel our team to achieve great results and to maintain passion for what we do.

Our team is excited about creating beautiful smiles and healthy bite relationships. We enjoy working with each other, and that translates directly to compassionate patient care.

We are most proud of receiving "Lancaster's Favorite Orthodontic Practice" each of the last 6 years.  This is our annual proof that we are doing everything we can to deliver exceptional patient care in every sense.

Family Life

My wife, Sara, and I live in Manheim Township and have three children named Juliet, Maya and Pierce.  We also have two fish Kathy and Salta and a Saint Bernard, Reba.  When I’m not in the office, I spend quality time with my family. We enjoy keeping our minds and bodies active, running, biking, golfing, traveling, going to concerts and reading as much as possible.

My most recent personal goal is to become fluent in Spanish.
